Geylang Methodist School (Secondary) expects its students to have a positive attitude towards work and behaviour. Every student is expected to follow the school rules.

1. Attend the daily flag raising ceremony. Students who are Singapore citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge. Students will take the Pledge with the right fist placed over the heart. Non-citizens must stand at attention during the ceremony.
2. Be punctual for school, lessons and all other activities.
3. Be neat and tidy in appearance. Pupils are to wear the prescribed school uniform. Modification to the uniform is not allowed.
4. Involve yourself in constructive work quietly when your teacher is out of the room.
5. All students should behave with propriety at all times whether in school or out of school, and aim to achieve at least a “Good” in conduct grades.
6. Be courteous and helpful to teachers and visitors to the school.
7. All students are expected to attend school up to the last day of the term.
8. During school hours, no student may leave the school without obtaining permission from the Principal/ Vice Principal or Heads of Department.
9. Students should be entirely responsible for their own property.
10. All school property and equipment should be handled with care, returned and replaced after use.
